Clean Energy Sector Faces Clearer Conditions After Trump Signs Megabill -- Market Talk

10:11 ET -- President Trump's signage of the "one big, beautiful bill" lifts an overhang for clean energy, Baird's Ben Kallo said in a research note. "Despite the final version being more negative than the industry (and we) had hoped, we believe this will remove a material overhang for our coverage," says the analyst. Kallo says the removal of an excise tax for Chinese components is positive for clean energy development broadly given limited domestic supply, among other changes made to the final version of the bill. The analyst notes First Solar, GE Vernova, HA Sustainable Infrastructure Capital, Itron and Ormat Technologies as companies he likes following the bill's passing.
