Argo appoints <a href="https://laohu8.com/S/BN">Brookfield</a>’s Pelaez as COO

July 7 - (The Insurer) - Arturo Pelaez has been named chief operating officer of Argo Group in addition to his role as managing director at the specialty insurer’s parent Brookfield Asset Management.

Pelaez has held his role at Brookfield since the start of 2022. Before that, he worked at Voya Financial for almost eight years, most recently as vice president, corporate M&A.

Announcing Pelaez’s appointment as COO on LinkedIn, Argo said: “With deep expertise in insurance M&A and a strong track record in strategy and operations, Arturo will play a key role in driving execution across IT, operations, technical underwriting and more.”

Argo in March named Chris Donahue as its new CEO. He had served as its chief financial officer since Brookfield Asset Management took the carrier private in November 2023.

Loan analytics company Open Lending at the end of March announced the appointments of former Argo CEO Jessica Snyder as CEO and former Argo head of operations Michelle Glasl as COO.
