Huawei's Noah Ark Lab division rejected claims that a version of its Pangu Pro large language model copied elements from an Alibaba (BABA) model, Reuters reported Monday.

The division said its model was independently developed and trained, the report said. The statement came after a posting on Github alleged that the model showed "extraordinary correlation" with Alibaba's Qwen 2.5 14B.

Alibaba did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
