Valaris Limited has announced significant contract developments for its drillships, VALARIS DS-16 and DS-18, in partnership with Anadarko Petroleum Corporation, a subsidiary of Occidental. The VALARIS DS-16 has secured a 940-day contract extension set to commence in June 2026. Meanwhile, the VALARIS DS-18 will begin a new 914-day contract in the Gulf of America, expected to start in the mid-fourth quarter of 2026. These contracts contribute approximately $760 million to Valaris's revenue backlog, enhancing the company's financial outlook. Anton Dibowitz, President and CEO, emphasized the success of their commercial strategy and the focus on securing further long-term contracts.
