0556 GMT - Nordic markets are seen opening little-changed with IG calling the OMXS30 flat at around 2514. U.S. stock markets fell yesterday afternoon after Trump announced in open letters that Japan, South Korea, South Africa and a number of other countries will receive import tariffs of 25%-40%, SEB analysts say in a note. The higher tariffs are planned to be introduced at the beginning of August which means that the deadline for negotiations has been extended and there is room for reaching better agreements, SEB adds. Trump also threatened special tariffs against the BRICS countries. Asian stock markets are rising in most places, while futures in Europe are down by a couple of tenths and U.S. futures are pointing slightly higher. OMXS30 closed at 2514.44, OMXN40 at 2339.23 and OBX at 1545.86. (dominic.chopping@wsj.com)
