Hong Kong's SME Sentiment Falls in June

Business sentiment among small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Hong Kong weakened in June, remaining within contractionary territory, according to data from the city's census and statistics department released Monday.

Hong Kong's current diffusion index on business receipts amongst SMEs fell to 41.6 in June from 42.1 in May, according to data released by the city's Census and Statistics Department on Thursday.

The diffusion index outlook on business receipts for July was 45.4.

The current diffusion index fell to 43.5 from 45.2 in the business services sector and to 39.8 from 41.3 in the retail trade niche.
