ANDRITZ AG has secured a significant order from the joint venture between ArcelorMittal and China Oriental Group for a high-end silicon steel processing plant in Changzhou, Jiangsu Province, China. This project aims to bolster the production of new energy vehicles (NEVs) in the region. As part of the contract, ANDRITZ will supply silicon steel processing lines, a rolling mill, three final annealing coating lines, one reversing cold rolling mill, and twelve inductors. These components are crucial for the joint venture's New Energy Magnetic Material project, focusing on producing high-end silicon steel for NEV motors, as well as other motors, generators, and transformers. This order will be included in ANDRITZ's order intake for the second quarter of 2025.
