1202 ET - Jetmaker Embraer faces the largest potential impact from the 50% tariffs on Brazilian imports that President Trump said will go into effect in August, investment firm XP's analysts write. They estimate 24% of Embraer's revenue is exposed to U.S. exports. XP expects limited direct impact on metals and mining names, including CSN and Vale. Oil major Petrobras exports mainly to China, the analysts say. They warn that the actual impact on business could change depending on potential retaliation from Brasilia and currency fluctuations. The Ibovespa stock index falls 0.7%. Embraer ADR drops 6%. Vale ADR rises 4%. CSN rises 6% and Petrobras is flat. The Brazilian real strengthens 0.7% against the dollar.
