Shares of Vertiv Holdings, a leader in data-center cooling solutions, were falling Thursday after Amazon Web Services announced the development of a new cooling system of its own.

Amazon unveiled a liquid cooling system it calls the in-row heat exchanger in a video on YouTube. The infrastructure can be installed in both new and existing data centers designed for power-hungry artificial-intelligence computing, the company said.

Vertiv stock was sinking 6.7% on Thursday, while Amazon stock was down modestly.
