新任CEO陈立武（Lip-Bu Tan）自4月上任以来，启动全面组织精简战略，目标打造“更精实、更高效”的运营模式。英特尔表示，此举是为了更好地响应客户需求、提升执行力，并应对长期盈利压力和技术竞争挑战。
近年来，英特尔因错失AI转型窗口导致市场份额持续流失，竞争对手英伟达迅速崛起，成为AI芯片主导者。台积电和AMD等厂商也在高性能计算领域不断挤压其生存空间。
市场分析认为，尽管裁员有助于短期成本控制，但若缺乏核心技术突破和产品创新，仅靠组织瘦身难以扭转颓势。未来几个季度的财报表现及AI芯片进展，将成为观察英特尔能否重拾竞争力的关键指标。
