Regulators in Ohio on Wednesday voted through a settlement proposed by American Electric Power (AEP), with some changes, requiring data centers to pay for at least 85% of the electricity they say they need each month, even if they use less, Bloomberg reported.
Amazon.com (AMZN) and other big tech firms had proposed their own terms in Ohio, according to the report.
