Prominent Crypto Analyst Reveals 65% Loss in Altcoins: Shares His Portfolio

Renowned cryptocurrency analyst Michaël van de Poppe made some noteworthy statements about his personal altcoin portfolio. Sharing on social media, Poppe stated that his portfolio has currently lost approximately 65% of its value.

Poppe stated that his portfolio consists of both large and small positions. He included the following altcoins in his larger positions, which he described as less volatile:

  • Celestia (TIA)
  • Optimism (OP)
  • Sei (SEI)
  • Bittensor (TAO)

Small positions with high volatility include:

  • Wormhole (W)
  • Omni Network (OMNI)
  • Renzo (REZ)
  • Aevo (AEVO)
  • Rocket Pool (RPL)

Poppe stated that his portfolio is heavily focused on the Ethereum (ETH) ecosystem and DeFi (decentralized finance), while admitting to a recent significant loss. He claimed that he has managed to mitigate his losses through monthly rebalancing and that his portfolio could return between 100% and 120% if the market returns to its previous levels.
