Nanoveu (ASX:NVU) said that its wholly-owned unit, Embedded A.I. Systems, began chip synthesis of its ECS-DoT AIoT system-on-chip, following the completion of a full 16-nanometer back-end design flow in partnership with the Center of Nanoelectronics in Cairo, according to a Wednesday Australian bourse filing.
The process leverages the advanced 16-nanometer fin field-effect transistor process node from Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company, which the firm said will deliver lower power consumption, higher performance, and smaller chip size.
The multi-project wafer fabrication is scheduled for the fourth quarter.
The unit also released a beta software development kit with application programming interfaces, documentation, and engineering support through its early access developer program.
