据华尔街日报周二援引知情人士报道，美国国家经济顾问委员会主任凯文·哈塞特（Kevin Hassett）正成为下一任美联储主席的有力竞争者。哈塞特在 6 月至少两次与特朗普会面，商谈美联储主席一职。
特朗普此前曾表示，他心目中担任美联储主席一职的人选有三到四人。据报道，这些人选包括前美联储理事凯文·沃什、哈塞特、现任美联储理事克里斯托弗·沃勒以及财政部长斯科特·贝森特。特朗普多次批评现任美联储主席杰罗姆·鲍威尔没有降低利率，并暗示可能很快提名继任者。
鲍威尔将于 2026 年 5 月卸任。
