Microsoft (MSFT) shareholders have submitted a resolution asking the board to file a public report on how the company prevents its products from being used in ways that violate international humanitarian law, Bloomberg reported Friday, citing the resolution.

Employees of the tech company have been protesting sales of software such as the Azure cloud platform and AI models from OpenAI to the Israel Defense Force and other government entities, Bloomberg said.

The resolution has been brought by the Religious of the Sacred Heart of Mary, and has about 60 cosigners who collectively hold about $80 million in Microsoft shares, Bloomberg added.

Microsoft did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
