The Mosaic Company has announced the opening of a new blending, storage, and distribution facility in Palmeirante, Tocantins, Brazil. This expansion is part of Mosaic's strategy to enhance market access and strengthen its presence in the fast-growing northern region of Brazil. The facility, with a capacity to process 1 million tonnes of fertilizer annually, will contribute significantly to the company's growth plans, with expected distribution sales rising to 13-14 million tonnes by the decade's end. The $84 million investment was completed on time and within budget, with anticipated returns exceeding 20 percent. The new facility offers advanced warehouse capacity, automated systems, and a direct rail link to the port of Itaqui, aiming to reduce logistics costs and improve quality control. Mosaic Executive Vice President, Commercial Jenny Wang, highlighted the expansion's role in supporting farmers in the MATOPIBA region and strengthening Mosaic's market leadership in Brazil.
