Eaton Corporation plc has announced a partnership with NVIDIA to facilitate the transition to high-voltage direct current (HVDC) power infrastructure in AI data centers. This collaboration is set to advance Eaton's capacity to deliver innovative power management solutions across the entire data center ecosystem, from the grid to the chip level. By working together, Eaton and NVIDIA are focusing on design best practices and reference architectures to support high-density GPU deployments, including NVIDIA Kyber rack-scale systems with NVIDIA Rubin Ultra GPUs. The partnership aims to lead the shift towards 800 V HVDC power infrastructure to accommodate 1 megawatt racks and beyond, while also exploring integration opportunities within the NVIDIA Omniverse Blueprint for AI factory design and operations.
