美国克利夫兰联邦储备银行行长Beth Hammack表示，她希望看到通胀进一步下降，然后才会支持降息。

　　“在通胀任务方面，我们尚未达到目标，”Hammack周一在接受福克斯商业新闻采访时表示。“我认为，我们要等待并观察已经提出的所有新政策将会对通胀产生怎样的影响。”

　　外界普遍预计美联储将在7月29日至30日的会议上再次维持利率不变。两名政策制定者暗示可能在此次会议上支持降息，但大多数其他人则表示希望有更多时间评估关税对通胀的影响。
