International Housewares Retail (HKG:1373) expects a 51% to 57% decline in attributable profit for the year ended April 30 from HK$101.1 million a year prior, a Monday Hong Kong bourse filing said.

The housewares retail company attributed the anticipated lower profit mainly to a 5.6% drop in revenue for the year amid weak consumer sentiment, intense competition, and shifting consumer habits.
