McGowan Allied Specialty Insurance makes four hires

July 15 - (The Insurer) - Amusement industry-focused insurance brokerage and program administrator McGowan Allied Specialty Insurance has announced four new appointments aimed at supporting growth in the entertainment and amusement sectors.

Andy Dickerson has been appointed associate vice president, joining from AmTrust Financial Services, where he served as senior regional sales manager. He specializes in business development and a broad range of commercial lines.

Kris Ward, also appointed associate vice president, was previously president at Tower Broking Group. Ward brings expertise in leisure-focused coverage for family entertainment centers, adventure parks and water parks.

Joe Newlove has joined as a producer and will partner with clients in the amusement and entertainment industries. Bryce Reese has also been added as a producer, bringing a foundation in commercial real estate insurance.

McGowan Allied Specialty Insurance is part of The McGowan Companies. On Monday, Program Manager exclusively reported that McGowan is acquiring the Aegis Pro Risk portfolio, a book of business originally launched in late 2020 offering $5 million in primary and excess capacity, from K2 Insurance Services.
