Trade Desk Rises on S&P 500 Inclusion

Trade Desk shares rose 14% to $86 after hours as the advertising technology company was selected to join the S&P 500.

S&P Dow Jones Indices said Trade Desk will join the index prior to the open of trading Friday. It will replace software company Ansys, which is being sold to Synopsys for about $35 billion.

As of the market close Monday, Trade Desk shares were down about 36% for the year to date.
