Stellar Resources (ASX:SRZ) has signed a six-month extension to the memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Australian Hualong, over the Comstock site, immediately adjacent to the company's Heemskirk Tin Project in Tasmania, according to a Monday Australian bourse filing.
The Comstock plant site is being considered as one of several options to utilise existing infrastructure in the area as part of the company's pre-feasibility study (PFS) to bring Heemskirk into development.
The company said Heemskirk will be an underground operation with a small surface footprint, utilising Tasmania's renewable grid power and existing regional infrastructure where practical.
The company has appointed an engineering firm to lead the analysis of tailings storage facilities options, including Comstock.
