Nordic Stocks Tipped to Open Slightly Lower -- Market Talk

0552 GMT - Nordic markets may open slightly lower with IG calling the OMXS30 down 0.1% at around 2530. The U.S. stock markets were mixed yesterday, SEB senior economist Robert Bergqvist writes. The market and the Fed must now weigh an expected tariff-driven rise in inflation, and the risk of spillover effects, against a gradually weakening labor market, SEB says. Asian stock markets are trading cautiously early Wednesday, with U.S. and European stock futures also reflecting some cautiousness ahead of the open. Tonight, the Fed publishes its economic report Beige Book. "It is expected to confirm the picture of an economy that - despite Trump's tariff policy and a serious global security situation - shows impressive resilience but also a gradual slowdown in growth." OMXS30 closed at 2532.42, OMXN40 at 2321.86 and OBX at 1535.81. (dominic.chopping@wsj.com)
