GTI Energy (ASX:GTR) lodged a notice of general meeting with the ASX and provided details to shareholders for approval of several matters, including a change of the company name to American Uranium with ASX code "AMU," according to a Monday Australian bourse filing.
It will also seek shareholder approval to issue the second tranche of a two-part placement to raise AU$4.5 million, before costs. The second tranche of almost AU$2 million includes a separate approval for AU$1.5 million committed by cornerstone strategic investor Snow Lake Energy.
Its shares surged past 14% in recent trading on Monday.
