Hainan Mining Terminates Lithium Salt Plant Project with Saudi Arabian Firm; Shares Rise 3%

Hainan Mining (SHA:601969) terminated its lithium salt plant venture with Saudi Arabia-based Ajlan & Bros. after failing to reach an agreement on specific cooperation matters," according to a Thursday filing with the Shanghai Stock Exchange.

The mining firm will start phase 2 of its lithium salt plant operations "at an appropriate time" based on the operations of its lithium and salt processing business, the filing said.

Shares rose 3% during late afternoon trading on Thursday.
