Meta Platforms (META)-backed Scale AI is shedding 200 full-time employees, or 14% of its global workforce, and will also stop working with 500 of its thousands of global contractors, Bloomberg said Wednesday, citing Scale AI spokesperson Joe Osborne.
The job cuts are aimed at "streamlining our data business to help us move faster," and Scale AI plans to add staff in other areas, Osborne, said, according to Bloomberg.
Scale AI and Meta did not immediately respond to requests for comment from MT Newswires.
