美联储理事Christopher Waller表示，决策者本月应该降息，以支持出现疲软迹象的劳动力市场。

　　“鉴于通胀接近目标水平且上行风险有限，我们不应等到劳动力市场恶化才下调政策利率，”他周四在为一场纽约Money Marketeers主办活动准备的演讲稿中表示。“我认为，联邦公开市场委员会（FOMC）两周后将政策利率下调25个基点是合理的。”

　　美联储官员将于7月29日至30日在华盛顿开会。

　　与Waller的言论形成鲜明对照的是，他的大多数同僚认为就业形势依然稳健。

　　Waller说：“透过软数据和硬数据，我看到劳动力市场承压。”

　　除Waller外，美联储还有一位官员 —— 负责监管的副主席Michelle Bowman —— 也曾表示对最早本月降息的开放态度。
