Alphabet's (GOOG) Waymo unit and Uber (UBER) said Thursday they have expanded their autonomous ride service area in Austin, Texas, to cover 90 square miles from the previous 37 square miles.

The expanded area now stretches from North to South Austin and includes neighborhoods like Crestview, Windsor Park, Sunset Valley, and Franklin Park, along with key locations such as The Domain and McKinney Falls State Park, the companies said.

The service offers fully autonomous rides 24/7 with no waitlists or special requirements, they added.

The companies added that more than 100 Waymo vehicles are currently operating through the Uber app in Austin, with plans to increase that number significantly.
