针对即将于7月20日下午至夜间影响广东的今年第6号台风“韦帕”，饿了么方面表示，将多举措提前做好骑手配送安全和服务保障，已成立“安全生产”专项小组，启动特殊天气下的应急机制，在确保人员安全情况下，保障城市、社区民生需求，为大家提供更好的服务；也会根据属地政策要求和实际情况，对配送服务和范围进行及时调整。
为了确保骑手配送安全，饿了么提前向骑手推送了天气预警和安全提醒，在雨天来临前为骑手提供了防水袋、雨衣等避雨装备。平台前置提示包括佩戴雨具、检查车辆，行驶过程中注意降车速、不急刹、小心转弯等；同时提醒“防触电、防雷击、不涉水”，避免涉水、绕开积水，远离供电设备，避免在树木、电线杆、路灯下等区域停驻，不要在道路涵洞或隧道中停留。
同时，平台已做好应急准备和免罚举措，骑手如遇意外情况，可及时上报，平台会及时提供帮助；平台也进行了线路优化和派单保护，为骑手匹配更灵活的配送时间、缩短配送距离，并为骑手开启相应的免罚措施和异常申报、剔除等。
在平时，饿了么已持续开展台风等异常天气防护等安全知识课程培训。饿了么还要求物流站点检查物资、车辆电池等情况，备好姜汤、热茶、常用药箱等，做好后勤保障。
