IT之家 7 月 18 日消息，特斯拉、xAI、SpaceX 创始人马斯克 17 日在 X 平台宣布：Grok 平台上的“男性伙伴”将命名为瓦伦丁（Valentine），该名取自海因莱因的小说《异乡异客》主角，这本书同样也是“Grok”一名的来源 ——“To Grok something”意味着深刻而富有同理心地理解某事。
公开资料显示，《异乡异客》讲述被火星人抚养的地球孤儿瓦伦丁・迈克尔・史密斯重返地球后，因继承火星所有权卷入纷争。以火星文明视角审视人类社会，揭示其冷漠与虚伪本质。在导师朱巴尔・哈肖引导下，试图通过传播爱与善意改变世界，最终提出以新生命形式带领人类迈向宇宙。
根据马斯克的介绍，这个角色设定忧郁、黑发，其性格灵感源自《暮光之城》的爱德华・卡伦和《五十度灰》的克里斯蒂安・格雷。
在此之前，马斯克已经推出了两款不同形象的“AI 伴侣”：哥特风女孩形象“Ani”和卡通风格小熊猫“坏鲁迪”，面向每月支付 30 美元（IT之家注：现汇率约合 215.6 元人民币）的 Super Grok 用户开放。
