0932 ET - PepsiCo says it will evolve its food and beverage portfolio to meet changing consumer preferences, as well as federal regulations. "If the consumer is telling us that they prefer products that have sugar and they prefer products that have natural ingredients, we will give the consumer products that have sugar and have natural ingredients," executives say on a call with analysts. The comments come as the snacks and soda maker aims to eliminate artificial colors and flavors from its food and beverages, and after President Trump said Coca-Cola agreed to use real cane sugar in Coke. PepsiCo climbs 7% in early trading. (connor.hart@wsj.com)
