Tele Columbus AG, a leading German fiber optic network provider under its brand PŸUR, has announced the commencement of a significant fiber optic expansion project in Dresden. In collaboration with the Saxon Housing Cooperative Dresden eG $(SWG.UK)$, the company has begun work to provide fiber connections to approximately 10,000 apartments. The first households are expected to have access to direct fiber connections by the end of 2026, with the entire project slated for completion by 2029. The new network will be open to various providers, offering residents a range of product choices.
