智通财经APP获悉，波音公司(BA.US)周四表示，总部位于巴林的海湾航空公司(Gulf Air)已同意购买 12 架 787 梦想客机，并有再购买 6 架的选择权。这一订单将使该航空公司订购的宽体客机总数达到 14 架。这些公司并未透露此次交易的条款和价格，但据报道，根据此前的 787 交易情况，此次采购的价值约为 28 亿美元。
海湾航空表示，目前其已有 10 架“梦想客机”投入运营，这些飞机主要用于长途航班。此次交易是其进一步拓展在亚洲、欧洲和美国等市场国际航线网络计划的一部分。
根据最新的采购协议，海湾航空公司将在其 787 客机上安装GE航天航空(GE.US)发动机，而放弃使用罗尔斯-罗伊斯的Trent 1000 型发动机。该航空公司目前运营的 10 架“梦想客机”均配备了罗尔斯-罗伊斯的这种发动机。
虽然“梦幻客机”配备了两种发动机选择，但罗尔斯-罗伊斯公司却遇到了技术难题，目前正在对发动机进行升级以提高其可靠性，不过第二阶段的修复工作要到 2026 年才能完成。
另外，安哥拉的国有航空公司 TAAG 将通过一笔 2.97 亿美元的融资协议(该协议已获得美国进出口银行批准)从波音公司购买 787-10 型飞机及备用发动机。
