媒体周六报道，汇丰控股在重新展开新任董事会主席的遴选工作，此前未能找到足够多令人满意的人选以确定最终候选名单。

　　该行一直在寻找杜嘉祺 （Mark Tucker） 的继任者，杜嘉祺今年早些时候宣布计划在2025年底前卸任。杜嘉祺的任期充满动荡，行政总裁多次换人，与银行大股东发生冲突，并遭到美国政府的公开打压。

　　此前报道称，杜嘉祺出人意料地宣布将于9月离开汇丰，出任友邦保险非执行主席之后，汇丰加紧了遴选继任者的进程。

　　该行发言人在电子邮件声明中表示，委任新主席的程序正在进行中，集团监察委员会主席Brendan Nelson将从10月1日起担任临时集团主席。

　　消息人士称，汇丰在考虑了100余名人选后，仍难以确定最终的继任者名单。该报报道称，汇丰考虑包括的人选包括：苏黎世保险首席执行官Mario Greco、高盛集团高管Kevin Sneader和Richard Gnodde，以及前劳合社主席Bruce Carnegie-Brown。报道称，一些潜在候选人无法考虑出任该职，而另一些候选人在被接洽时已表示拒绝。

　　苏黎世保险的发言人表示，猎头曾联系过Greco，但被他拒绝，因为他决定留在苏黎世。
