Health care stocks were edging higher premarket Monday as the Health Care Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLV) was advancing by 0.2% and the iShares Biotechnology ETF (IBB) was recently up 0.3%.
Amneal Pharmaceuticals (AMRX) shares were up more than 3% after the company said it expects to report Q2 income before taxes of $45 million to $56 million, compared with $20 million a year earlier.
Evotec (EVO) shares were down nearly 13% after the company lowered its fiscal 2025 revenue guidance to reflect a shift in the revenue mix.
Sarepta Therapeutics (SRPT) shares were nearly 10% lower after the company said in a regulatory filing the US Food and Drug Administration has placed a clinical hold on its gene therapy trials for limb-girdle muscular dystrophy.
