APAC Resources Unit Buys More Shares in Platinum Group Metal Supplier; Shares Jump 4%

A unit of APAC Resources (HKG:1104) acquired 20,000, or 0.01%, shares in Valterra Platinum, through on-market transactions on the London Stock Exchange for 698,522 pounds sterling or 34.93 pounds sterling apiece, a late July 18 Hong Kong bourse filing said.
Shares of the natural source investment and commodity trading business company were up 4% in Monday afternoon trading.
Unit APAC Resources Commodity Trading had previously purchased 220,000, or 0.08%, shares in Valterra Platinum over 12 months for a little over 7.3 million pounds sterling, or 33.37 pounds sterling apiece.
The firm now holds a total of 240,000 shares in the supplier of platinum group metals.
