Top Cryptocurrencies Lower; Bitcoin Holds Above $118,000 Level

Major digital assets were mostly lower Wednesday, with Bitcoin (BTC-USD) also weaker but holding above the $118,000 level.

The CoinDesk Market Index, which tracks dozens of digital assets including Bitcoin, fell 2.6% in the past 24 hours. The Nasdaq 100 rose 0.3% in late trading, the S&P 500 climbed 0.7%, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average increased 1.1%.

Bitcoin fell 0.7% at $118,471, according to CoinMarketCap data. The most popular cryptocurrency's 24-hour trading volume fell 14.4% to $66.6 billion.

Ethereum (ETH-USD), the second-largest digital asset by market value, dipped 1.8% to $3,606.

XRP (XRP-USD) lost 9.2%, BNB (BNB-USD) gained 0.3%, and Solana (SOL-USD) fell 5.1%. Dogecoin (DOGE-USD) shed 6.0%, and Cardano (ADA-USD) dropped 7.4%.

The US 10-year Treasury yield stood at 4.386% at 3 p.m. ET Wednesday, up from 4.334% Tuesday, while the five-year yield rose to 3.933% from 3.875%.

The total market value of the cryptocurrency industry fell 1.9% in the past 24 hours to $3.86 trillion with trading volume down 7.2% to $198.66 billion.
