BlockBeats News, July 22nd, according to Bloomberg, software company Consensys, founded by Ethereum co-founder Joseph Lubin, is currently planning to lay off 49 employees, accounting for approximately 7% of its total workforce.
A company spokesperson stated that this restructuring is aimed at improving overall profitability. Consensys recently acquired a startup with about 30 employees, who will remain with the company. At the same time, the company still plans to continue hiring in other positions. Consensys's largest office location is in Brooklyn.
