374Water Inc. has announced the delivery of its AirSCWO 6 System to Clean Earth's facility in Detroit, Michigan, as part of a Department of Defense project aimed at treating PFAS-impacted waste streams. The installation and commissioning activities are expected to last three weeks, with the treatment of six different waste streams set to begin in August. This initiative is in collaboration with the DoD Environmental Security Technology Certification Program and the Defense Innovation Unit, focusing on the destruction of hazardous chemicals found in firefighting foams and contaminated water sources. The project's analytics will be handled by Arcadis, which will conduct a comprehensive analysis of PFAS parameters post-treatment.
