Syrah Resources (ASX:SYR) said that the loading of a large volume breakbulk shipment of 10,000 tonnes of fines natural graphite began at Pemba port in Mozambique after production restarted at its Balama graphite operation in June, according to a Wednesday Australian bourse filing.
The container shipments from Nacala port, primarily focused on coarse flake graphite for industrial customers, have also restarted.
The firm is preparing for the next breakbulk shipment planned for customers in the US before the end of the September quarter.
Its Mozambican unit, Twigg Exploration and Mining, provided notice to the authorities in Mozambique that it has removed the force majeure declaration under the mining agreement.
