Aura Energy Says Mauritania Uranium Project On Track for Delivery in 2027

Aura Energy (ASX:AEE) said that its Tiris uranium project in Mauritania is on track for delivery in 2027, and it is progressing funding discussions, with the the US International Development Finance Corporation, other financial institutions, and strategic equity investors, with due diligence and term sheet negotiations ongoing, according to a Monday Australian bourse filing.

It added that the Swedish Mining Inspectorate's assessment of the Häggån polymetallic project K1 processing concession is ongoing. Further, the Swedish government has submitted a legislative proposal to parliament to overturn the national ban on uranium mining. If adopted, the legislation will reclassify uranium as a concession mineral under the Minerals Act.

It did not conduct exploration activities during the June quarter.

The firm appointed Philip Mitchell as its Executive Chair, transitioning from his previous role as Non-Executive Chair.
