Amcor (ASX:AMC) said that Amcor Flexibles North America wrote to the US Securities and Exchange Commission ("SEC") on Tuesday requesting that the effective date of the registration statement on the form S-4 be accelerated so that it becomes effective at 4:00 PM, Eastern Time, on Thursday, or soon thereafter, according to a Wednesday Australian bourse filing.
It authorized Jonathan Schulman of Perkins Coie, counsel to Amcor Flexibles North America, to modify or withdraw this request for acceleration by oral or written communication.
Amcor's shares rose 2% in recent trading on Tuesday.
