可口可乐配方改用蔗糖会更健康?

美国总统特朗普早前宣称,可口可乐公司同意在美国出售的饮品中改用蔗糖,取代高果糖玉米糖浆。可口可乐发言人尚未证实特朗普的说法。特朗普力推可口可乐改用蔗糖,它真的比玉米糖浆更健康吗?

塔夫茨大学弗里德曼营养科学与政策学院食品即药物研究所所长Dr. Dariush Mozaffarian表示,玉米糖浆和蔗糖都含有大约50%果糖和50%葡萄糖,并且具有相同的代谢作用。也就是说,两者同样会增加肥胖、糖尿病、三酸甘油酯和高血压的风险。虽然两者提供的热量相同,但身体对它们的代谢方式却不同。

无论是蔗糖还是玉米糖浆,对健康造成最大伤害的似乎都是果糖。这种糖几乎完全由肝脏处理,肝脏将过量的果糖转化为三酸甘油酯,这是一种与心脏病相关的脂肪。而摄取过量果糖可能造成胰岛素阻抗,并增加患上第二型糖尿病的风险。含糖汽水长期以来一直与儿童肥胖有关。2023年的一项国际研究发现,与每天不喝汽水的青少年相比,每天喝一杯或多杯软性饮料的青少年,其超重或肥胖的盛行率更高。
