Jiumaojiu International Holdings (HKG:9922) posted year-over-year declines in same-store average daily sales across major brands in the second quarter due to continued external consumption pressure, according to a July 18 Hong Kong bourse filing.
Shares of the company were down about 2% in Monday's recent trade.
Self-operated Tai Er stores recorded a 13.7% drop in same-store average daily sales, while Song Hot Pot fell 14.3% and Jiu Mao Jiu declined 18.5%.
As of June 30, Jiumaojiu operated 729 restaurants, including 566 Tai Er outlets.
Average spending per customer remained relatively stable for the third straight quarter, the filing said.
