“首款 USB-C iPhone”之父新发明问世：自带 C 口 iPhone 保护壳

IT之家 7 月 23 日消息，据外媒 The Verge 今晚报道，曾因创造出第一款 USB-C iPhone（IT之家注：比苹果官方推出 iPhone 15 Pro 系列更早）而出名的工程师 Ken Pillonel，最近将自己的创新成果转化为一款手机壳，能够将旧款 iPhone 的 Lightning 接口转换为 USB-C。
这款新产品旨在帮助用户减少更换旧 iPhone 的需求，打击“计划性淘汰”，并进一步提升对快充功能的支持。“这次，我把那个独特的 DIY 改装变成了一个你可以拥有的真正产品。这不再只是一个黑客项目，而是我迄今为止做过的最大工程。”
这款 iPhone 手机壳从今天开始通过 obsoless.com 面向“多数型号”发售，售价在 45 美元到 55 美元（现汇率约合 322.8 元到 394.6 元人民币）之间，支持 MagSafe 充电、数据传输、CarPlay 以及 9V 快速充电。
在 Pillonel 2021 年推出的 USB-C 改装版 iPhone 中，快充只有在插头正确插入时才会激活，但现在，无论如何插入，都能兼容快充。不过，其他由 Lightning 和 USB-C 接口可能支持的功能则无法使用。
Pillonel 向《The Verge》表示：“我可以保证的功能包括：快速充电、数据传输到计算机和 CarPlay。其他功能不受官方支持，很遗憾，你必须取下手机壳。这是因为苹果对 Lightning 接口的适配器进行了一定的限制，目的就是从所有销售的适配器中赚取佣金。”
此外，这款手机壳还配有额外的 SIM 卡槽，便于出国旅行使用，并且设有挂绳附件。发布时将提供深灰色款，更多颜色将在九月推出。
