HSBC Buys Back Over 4.2 Million Shares From Morgan Stanley

HSBC (HKG:0005) bought back over 4.2 million shares from Morgan Stanley for cancellation, according to a Hong Kong bourse filing Monday.

The bank bought 2,500,426 shares from UK avenues, which include the London Stock Exchange, Aquis Exchange, and Cboe Europe, at a volume weighted average price of 9.32 pounds sterling each.

HSBC also repurchased a further 1,722,000 shares from the Hong Kong Stock Exchange at a volume weighted average price of HK$98.24 apiece.

The shares were repurchased as part of the company's buy-back program.
