Contact Energy (ASX:CEN, NZE:CEN) mass market electricity sales declined in June compared with the year-earlier period, while wholesale spot electricity sales rose, according to a Monday filing with the New Zealand bourses.
Retail mass market electricity sales fell to 348 gigawatt hours (GWh) in June from 350 GWh in the same period in 2024. Retail gas sales dropped to 62 GWh from 67 GWh.
Wholesale electricity sales to businesses decreased to 374 GWh from 375 GWh. Conversely, wholesale spot electricity sales grew to 818 GWh from 768 GWh.
