Dell Technologies (DELL) has put COO Jeff Clarke in charge of its Client Solutions Group, taking over from Sam Burd, Bloomberg reported Tuesday, citing a memo sent to staff and confirmed by the company.
The move was made amid slumping revenues for the unit, Bloomberg said.
Clarke said in the memo he will take on "day-to-date leadership" of the business unit "for now," according to the report.
Burd will transition to lead the company's corporate strategy and Vivek Mohindra will become a special adviser to Clarke, Bloomberg quoted Clarke as saying in the memo.
"What we're focused on is leading the commercial and consumer PC markets and capitalizing on the critical PC refresh cycle," a Dell spokesperson told the news outlet in a statement.
Dell did not immediately reply to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
