Coronado Global Resources (ASX:CRN) said that its run-of-mine production of metallurgical coal came in at 7 million tonnes in the June quarter, jumping 20% from 5.8 million tonnes in the March quarter, according to a Thursday Australian bourse filing.
Saleable production rose 6.9% over the same period to 3.7 million tonnes from 3.5 million tonnes in the March quarter. Its sales volumes climbed 6.6% quarter-over-quarter to 3.7 million tonnes from 3.4 million tonnes.
Its chief executive, Douglas Thompson, said the firm expects another increase in performance in the second half of the year with the ramp-up of the Mammoth underground mine in Queensland and the Buchanan expansion projects in the US.
