Julius Baer's Net New Money Growth Looks Encouraging But Outlook Cautious -- Market Talk

0709 GMT - Julius Baer's net new money growth rate looks encouraging, Vontobel analyst Andrea Venditti writes in a note. However, the figure only covers two months, and management has reaffirmed its full-year guidance of 3%, she says. The Zurich-based lender will determine whether additional provisions are needed once its credit review concludes in the coming months, she adds. Meanwhile, first-half adjusted pretax profit missed consensus by 4%, weighted down by slightly lower revenue than expected amid a stronger-than-usual seasonal slowdown in May and June, she says. Shares closed at 56.50 Swiss Francs on Monday.(najat.kantouar@wsj.com)
